Please allow me to introduce myself, I was born and raised in St. John’s, growing up in Goulds and completing high school at St. Kevin’s High School, Goulds. 

I am an award winning graduate from the Funeral Services Education Program at Kingstec Campus, Kentville, NS.  My career began in 1991 at Caul’s Funeral Home as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. I accepted a position at Carnell’s Funeral Home in 1997.  In 2000, I moved to Calgary, Alberta and quickly obtained employment at a large funeral home as a Funeral Director and Embalmer, eventually moving into a management role.  I fulfilled my goal of owning a funeral home by purchasing funeral homes in rural British Columbia in 2005 and rural Alberta in 2009.

In the spring of 2018, I came home and had a meeting with Barb Dunphy in Holyrood about the possibility of purchasing Dunphy’s. She was very receptive of the idea, so I sold my funeral homes in Western Canada and purchased Dunphy’s Funeral Home on August 16, 2019. 

I have been honoured to help people in their greatest time of need for the past 30 years. It is wonderful to be back home and living in Holyrood. I take great pride in owning Dunphy’s Funeral Home who is known for their legacy of superior service. I am looking forward to working hard to maintain this reputation, by providing outstanding service to each and every family.
