It is with heavy hearts that we announce Linda’s passing on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024 at the Health Sciences Center with her husband, Jim, by her side.
She was predeceased by her parents; John and Theresa (nee Power) Pinto, Brother Paul Pinto and mother-in-law and father-in-law; John and Edith Corbett.
Leaving to mourn, with fond and loving memories, are her devoted husband of 51 years, Jim, son John (Lisa), daughters; Cathy Trépanier (Bruno) and Helen (Tom), adored grandchildren: Amelie, Logan, Zack, Jonathan, Alex, Melia, Quinn and Emma, sister, Helen Whitty (Barry), brothers: Garry Pinto (Debbie), John Pinto (Brenda) and Ed Pinto (Gail), sisters-in-law; Lillian Flynn and Ann Marie (Mike) Gorman, brothers-in-law: Daniel Corbett, Doug (Betty) Corbett, Don (Kathy) Corbett and Alexis (Lynn) Corbett, as well as a large circle of family and friends.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to her long term care givers: Eileen, Joanne, Della, Bridget, Bredina and Laura, Dr. Sutton, the doctors, nurses and staff on 4 South B at the Health Sciences Centre for their kindness and compassionate care during Linda’s life and final days.
Linda was one of the strongest and kindest humans to walk this earth. She loved music, especially Willie Nelson. She will forever be missed.
At Linda’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood on Thursday, April 25th, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Harbour Main on Friday, April 26th, 2024 at 10:30 am (for those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed with the link available below).
Inurnment to follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Chapel’s Cove.
If friends so desire, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
